Measurement - Finding the length, perimeter, and area of various objects using nonstandard units of measurement. Room 14 was busy measuring various objects in their classroom to find out the length, perimeter, and area of these objects.  They used measuring units such as their feet, linking cubes, iceblock sticks, whiteboard markers, and dice.  They made sure all their measuring units were the same, there was no overlapping of units, and no gaps in between the units when measuring the objects.

Term 1 Swimming Lessons    Room 14 learned how to keep safe, calm, afloat and together in wavy waters.  They also got to experience what it was like to be in a raft caught up in stormy, huge waves.

A Special Reading Session with Glenda (the Submissions Editor of Toitoi Journal) and her group of Coaches. What a fantastic morning we had with Glenda and her coaches who interacted with us in groups through shared reading and discussions of the stories in the latest edition of Toitoi Journal.   Everyone was inspired by the works of young, talented authors, and in awe of the beautiful illustrations that enhanced the writings, also created by young, aspiring artists.   We were so fortunate and thrilled to be gifted with our own new copy of the latest Toitoi Journal.   Thank you so much to Glenda and her team of amazing Coaches for a very engaging and enjoyable Reading session.

Amazing Mazes  The students of Room 14 created amazing Easter mazes. The Easter Bunny had to find its way through the maze to get to those yummy Easter eggs !  I think he found it quite challenging but remained resilient. Learn , create and share.
